Judaism produced the most striking data in this series. From 586 BCE (Babylonian Captivity — the founding moment of Judaism as we know it), 10 consecutive cycles of 270-year alignment are confirmed — the most of any religion analyzed. Over 2,612 years from 586 BCE to 2026 CE, major turning points in Jewish history recur at intervals approximating integer multiples of 270 years.
The most important finding: the present (2026) is 182 years from the 1844 turning point — the threshold of the “collapse phase (180–270 years)” in the 270-year cycle. The Holocaust, the founding of Israel, the wars of the Middle East, and the current Gaza crisis — all the upheavals surrounding the Jewish people since the 20th century can be understood through this “collapse phase” structure.

🔍 Major Finding: Judaism Has the Most Cycles of Any Religion — 10 Consecutive
Comparing the confirmed cycle counts across all five religions in this series:
🔵 Judaism: 10 cycles (origin 586 BCE)
🔴 Indian Buddhism: 7 cycles (origin 480 BCE)
🟠 Hinduism: 7 cycles (origin 320 CE)
🟢 Chinese Buddhism: 7 cycles (origin 67 CE)
🔵 Eastern Orthodoxy: 6 cycles (origin 381 CE)
🟢 Catholicism: 5 cycles (origin 590 CE)
🔵 Islam: 5 cycles (origin 622 CE)
🔵 Tibetan Buddhism: 5 cycles (origin 641 CE)
🟡 Protestantism: 2 cycles (origin 1517 CE)
Judaism’s 10 cycles stand out. The fact that “the religion with the oldest records shows the most cycles” suggests that the 270-year cycle has been operating as far back as 586 BCE.
The “Collapse Phase” and 2026 — Reading 20th-Century Jewish History Through the 270-Year Cycle
Current Cycle Position: 1844→2114 (182 years elapsed)
The Threshold of the Collapse Phase — The 270-Year Cycle Reading of Post-19th-Century Upheaval
2026, 182 years from the 1844 turning point, is at the “threshold of the collapse phase (180–270 years)” in the 270-year cycle. The collapse phase is “the period of most intense collision between the old governing principle and the new.”
The new governing principle launched at the 1844 turning point — “Jewish emancipation and Zionism” — deepened its collision with the “old governing principle (anti-Semitism, stateless nation)” through the following sequence: 1897 (Herzl’s Zionist Congress) → 1917 (Balfour Declaration) → 1933–45 (Holocaust) → 1948 (founding of Israel) → 1967 (Six-Day War) → 1973 (Yom Kippur War) → 2023–26 (Gaza crisis, Iran-U.S. war).
All of these can be read as “the process of the new governing principle (Zionism, Israel) colliding with the old order (Arab world, international legal system) within a cycle heading toward the collapse phase.”
The Brightest Era: 764–1304 CE — Two Cycles
The Golden Age Under Islamic Civilization — 270-Year Cycle at Its Most Luminous
From 764 to 1034, Jews in the Islamic world (especially al-Andalus and Baghdad) enjoyed an intellectual golden age. Rashi’s biblical commentary, Maimonides’ philosophy, the poet Yehuda Halevi — the richness of Jewish culture in this period shines almost anomalously bright amid a history too often told only as persecution.
In 270-year cycle terms, the sequence 764 (establishment) → 1034 (zenith) → 1304 (turning point, expulsions begin) is a classic example of the pattern “a turning point comes immediately after the golden age.” The expulsion of Jews from Spain in 1492 can be understood as a consequence of the 1304 turning point.
Judaism’s Unique Structural Features — “A Religion That Survived 2,000 Years Without a State”
①The Temple as the Axis of Turning Points
A feature unique to Judaism among all world religions: turning points are strongly linked to the physical event of the “loss and rebuilding of the Temple.” The First Temple (destroyed 586 BCE), the Second Temple (destroyed 70 CE), and the current “Third Temple” debate in Israel — the “Temple” question is the axis of Judaism’s 270-year cycle.
②2,000 Years Without a State — The Most Extreme Application of the Law of Peripherality
Judaism is “the only religion that survived 2,000 years without a state.” Hinduism also lacked state dependence, but never lost its geographic base (India). Judaism lost its geographic base entirely from 70 CE to 1948 — and continued its 270-year cycle throughout that stateless period. This is the most extreme demonstration of the principle that “a religion embedded in the structure of daily life does not die even when the state is lost.”
③The Talmud as “Portable Homeland”
The completion of the Babylonian Talmud (494 CE) — the turning point from the 4th cycle — was the decisive moment in the history of Diaspora Judaism. The Talmud is a “portable homeland”: a comprehensive guide to daily life, law, and theology that a community can carry anywhere in the world. It is the structural reason why Judaism could maintain 270-year cycles across 2,000 years without a geographic state.
270-Year Cycle Theory: Propositions from Judaism
Judaism shows 10 consecutive cycles of 270-year alignment from 586 BCE (Babylonian Captivity) — the most among all religions in this series. The structural features of “Temple-axis turning points,” “2,000 years without a state,” and “the Talmud as portable homeland” have functioned at each 270-year turning point as “institutional renewal of governing principles.” The present (2026) is 182 years from the 1844 turning point — “the threshold of the collapse phase” — and the Gaza crisis and Iran-U.S. war are comprehensible within this structure. The next turning point is predicted for 2114.
